Degrees and Certificates are awarded three times a year: in August, January, and May. Students are required to submit a Graduation Application for each program for which they expect to graduate. The application fee is $40 for each degree/certificate.You must apply for graduation even if you are not walking in the May Ceremony.

You must complete an academic major program to the satisfaction of the department administering the major. Students who do not meet all degree or certificate requirements for the graduation date stated on their application, must notify the Office of the Registrar, either by e-mail or in person in order to be considered for graduation at a later date. You will not be charged an additional application fee.
Cap and Gown measurement will take place March 3 through March 28 in the Blue Colt Bookstore.
SPRING BREAK HOURS (March 8-14)
Students will be permitted to keep their gowns; however, we do need to have your measurements to insure we have the correct sizes on hand. Students graduating with honors may exchange their black tassel for a gold honors tassel; or purchase a gold tassel for $6.00. Students may also attend the "GRAD Fair" on Tuesday, March 18 for measurements and more information about graduation. Commencement will take place on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 10 a.m.
Parking: There is sufficient parking at the Center. Handicapped drop-off is permitted, but cars must be moved to a parking lot. There will be shuttle service from the distant parts of the lot.
Dress: Academic attire is required to participate. Please pick up your cap and gown, any honors tassel, stole or cord you have earned by 3 p.m. on Friday, May 16 at the Blue Colt Bookstore.
Processional: Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Expo Center. Signs will direct you to the appropriate location. You must check in no later than 9:30 a.m. to pick up your name announcement card. Please be in line by 9:45 a.m. as the processional begins promptly at 10 a.m. Plan to arrive early.
Pictures: Your photograph will be taken by professional photographers as you cross the stage and again as you exit the stage. Purchase of these photos is optional. To see the proofs of the photos, complete the information on the reverse side of your name announcement card.
Following the Recessional: Class rings and diploma frames may be purchased. You may keep the cap, gown and tassel. You and your guests are invited to join the president, faculty and staff for refreshments following the ceremony in the Expo Center.
Diploma Pick Up: Diplomas will be available in the Office of the Registrar, Chambers Hall, beginning Monday, June 2. Photo ID is required. The office hours are Monday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The office is closed Memorial Day. Students who filed the Application for Graduation after April 1 will be notified by postcard when their diploma will be available for pick-up.
