Transfer Student Enrollment Instructions

Course registration and payment information

Middlesex County College welcomes students who began their college education at another institution and now wish to transfer to Middlesex County College.  Transfer students may review programs and majors.

Please follow the steps below to insure you enroll completely as a transfer student:

1. Submit your application for Admission with a non-refundable $25.00 application fee.


2. Request your high school send an official copy of your high school transcript (including SAT scores if applicable) or GED scores to:

3. Request that your prior college(s) send an official copy of your transcript to the Admissions Office.  On receiving your transcript, it will be evaluated for transfer of credits.  Transfer students who have successfully completed credit level English, mathematics and other courses with a grade of C or better may be exempt from our College Placement Test.


4. If you have not completed credit level English and mathematic courses with a grade of C or better you may be required to take the College Placement Test. If you have a disability and need testing accommodations please contact Disability Services prior to taking the Accuplacer to work out appropriate arrangements (732.906-2546).  Students that are transferring from a College or University outside of the United States without English as their primary language will need to take the ESL Placement Test.


5. Apply for financial aid.  All domestic students should apply for financial aid.   Students must apply for financial aid every year.  The priority deadlines are November 1 for spring semester and April 1 for fall semester.  Apply as early as possible indicating Middlesex County College's financial aid code, 002615.  For the fall semester, students are encouraged to file for financial aid as early as January 2.
