In the inaugural season of Volleyball at MCC, head coach Colleen Masterson took the Lady Colts to the Region 19 playoffs in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).  Middlesex also won the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Invitational at Atlantic Cape CC.

Masterson came to Middlesex from Watchung Hills Regional High School, where she coached the freshman girls’ volleyball team to a 15-5 record.  Masterson has coached club volleyball for the last four years in New Jersey.

Before becoming a coach, Masterson played at the club level with Atlantic Volleyball from age 11.  After playing varsity at Roselle Catholic High School for four years (2003-2006), Masterson was the starting setter for Kean University (2007-2011) and captained her senior season.

Masterson graduated from Kean in May 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a specialty in Students with Disabilities.
