Making Arrangements for Guests to Park on Campus

How do I arrange for parking for visitors to our campus?

Advise them to use the College’s main entrance on Woodbridge Avenue. Once on campus, they should drive up to the Information Window of the Gateway building to receive a parking pass and for directions to building locations. Visitors do not have to get out of their vehicles for this.

How do I arrange for parking when sponsoring a major event or holding a large meeting on campus?

Call the College Police Violation Bureau at extension 3247 for assistance. They will supply you with dashboard parking permits that can be distributed by you to all visitors who will be attending your function prior to the date of the function. These permits will have a validation date and list the location for parking on campus.

All dashboard parking permits contain the following: a campus map, an area map and written directions for traveling to Middlesex County College.

There may be a number of events taking place on campus, and as we all know, there are a limited number of visitor parking spaces.  Therefore, parking arrangements will be made based on the volume of traffic in the nearest parking lot to the specific function which has the least effect on the normal daily operations of the college.
At no time will Faculty/Staff parking spaces be used for event parking.
Anyone who will be bringing equipment or supplies to a function must make arrangements with the College Police before unloading or loading vehicles at any building. This should be done by advising visitors to stop at the Gateway building upon arrival at the campus.

If you have any questions concerning visitor parking, please call the Police Department’s Violation Bureau at extension 3247.  The Violation ffice hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Remember that traffic rules and regulations are in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.  All vehicles in violation of parking rules and regulations are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense.
