Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #1A 10/29/08 12:57 PM
While making a right turn in Lot 1A, Vehicle #1 was struck by Vehicle #2 which failed to stay in the lane. Vehicle 1 sustained damage to the front passenger side bumper headlight and fender. Vehicle 2 sustained minor scratches on the center of the front bumper and front license plate bracket. Closed - C.

Criminal Mischief - Parking Lot #10 10/29/08 02:19 PM
An individual reported that while she was parked on campus, the windshield of her vehicle was damaged. She then left campus and returned several hours later to report the damage. Upon investigation, it appeared that the cause of the shattered windshield had come from inside the vehicle. Open Case.

After stopping at the stop sign, Vehicle #2 proceeded into intersection not yielding to Vehicle #1 and struck Vehicle #1 on the passenger's side. No injuries were reported. Closed - C.

After making a right turn onto Chambers Drive, Vehicle 2 was sideswiped by Vehicle 1. Vehicle 2's driver side sustained damage. Vehicle 1's passenger side sustained damage. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot 6A 10/27/08 01:58 PM
While Vehicle #1 was backing up, it struck Vehicle #2 in the driver's side. Vehicle #2 then struck Vehicle #3 which was subsequently pushed into Vehicle #4. No injuries were reported. Closed - C.

Suspicious Person - Behind Chambers Hall 10/27/08 04:53 PM
An individual was observed sitting behind Chambers Hall punching the ground. Upon approaching the individual, he stood up and appeared unsteady and disorderly. After speaking with the individual and later with his brother, it was determined that he had some difficultly in comprehension. Open Case.

Missing Person - Edison Campus 10/27/08 11:33 PM
An individual was reported missing after becoming upset over an incident earlier in the day. While conducting building checks, an officer noticed an individual fitting the description of the missing person walking on Chambers Drive. The officer determined that it was the person in question and contacted a family member who then transported the individual off campus. Closed - C.

Hit and Run - Parking Lot #1 10/23/08 03:00 PM
After returning to his vehicle, the driver noticed damage to the rear driver's side bumper which appeared to have been struck by another vehicle. There were no known witnesses. Open Case.

Theft - College Center Lobby 10/23/08 09:50 AM
An individual left her wallet unattended in the College Center Lobby. When she returned several minutes later, the wallet was no longer there. A debit card, which was in the wallet, was cancelled. Open Case.

Vehicle #2 was parked in Parking Lot 6 when it was apparently hit by Vehicle #1 whose license plate was found on the ground by the vehicle. Vehicle #1 was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Closed - C.

Towed Vehicle - Gateway Parking Lot 10/22/08 02:00 PM
A vehicle was towed from the Gateway parking lot after a motor vehicle stop for speeding revealed that the vehicle's insurance had expired. Closed - C.

Fire Alarm - College Center/PAC 10/21/08 10:52 AM
An alarm activation caused the evacuation of College Center. The Fire Department responded and determined that a smoke detector was set off by exhaust from a leaf blower. Closed - C.

On 10/15/08, an abandoned vehicle was towed from Parking Lot 4. The vehicle appeared to have been abandoned since 10/11/08. An attempt was made to contact the registered owner on 10/14/08 to no avail. Closed - C.

A faculty member reported that someone took his parking decal from inside the rear driver's side window. It appeared that there was some damage to the window handle within the interior of the vehicle. Open Case.

Several individuals anonymously reported that there is a suspicious person who hangs around the gazebo located by L'Hommedieu Hall making bias and racial remarks. These individuals were advised to contact police should any event occur when this individual is present. Open Case.

Two razors were found on a sink located in the lower level female's restroom of JLC. Police properly disposed of them. No other evidence of criminal activity was observed. Open Case.

Entrapment in Elevator - College Center/PAC 10/15/08 06:15 PM
Two individuals became entrapped in an elevator when the door failed to open in order for them to exit. Edison Fire Department arrived on the scene and was able to force open the door. One of the individuals requested oxygen, but both denied any additional first aid services. Closed - C.

An individual was found crying on a bench in the Bookstore Lobby. He explained that he had gotten into a verbal altercation with someone whom he considers a friend. The friend had previously exited campus. The upset individual was escorted to Counseling. RTD.

A faculty member reported a student as being highly disruptive during class and requested the student be removed from class. The student was removed and advised as to whom he may contact regarding this situation. RTD.

Two individuals reported receiving threats of physical and financial harm from a third party because the subject was jealous of their relationship. The couple were advised as to what security measures they could take while on campus and advised to inform their local police departments since the majority of the threats have occurred off campus. A staff member reported seeing a hypodermic syringe on the walkway in front of TSC. Proper precautions were used to retrieve the syringe. It was unknown if it had been used or not. Open Case.

Two male individuals had gotten into a verbal altercation over a female. One of the males placed his hand on the other's face as a warning to stay away. The victim did not wish to file a complaint. The individuals were able to come to an agreement regarding the situation. Closed - C.

An individual took her wallet out to pay a taxi fare. When she then went to make a purchase in the College Center she realized that her wallet was missing. She called the taxi company who responded back to the College Center, but her wallet was not in the taxi. Open Case.

A female reported that she was threatened by a male individual after she pulled into a parking stall which he claimed was his. Being concerned for her safety, she notified police who subsequently took the male into custody. Closed - A.

A staff member found 3 cylindrical projectiles in the hallway of TSC. A thorough walkthrough was conducted of the building which yielded negative results for any other objects. No further information is available at this time. Open Case.

After taking an exam, a student noticed that her textbook was not under her desk where she had placed it. She queried those around her, but no one claimed to have seen anyone wrongdoing. Open Case.

Police were called to assist an individual having an apparent seizure. Edison EMS was called and responded as well. The patient declined to be taken to the hospital opting instead to be picked up by a family member. Closed - C.

A drawing of a swastika was found located on the ceiling of the gazebo. A second drawing was carved into the top of the railing. Additional comments were also discovered on the railing. Open Case.

It was reported that someone had stolen several items from a vehicle parked in lot 6A. Among the items was a TomTom130 GPS unit. It appeared that the vehicle was unlocked. The driver was advised to keep valuables locked inside the glove compartment and to also lock the vehicle doors when unoccupied. Open Case.
