Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #6 02/29/08 12:57 PM
Vehicle #2 was struck on the passenger side door by Vehicle #1 who was backing up causing substantial body damage to front and rear passenger side doors of Vehicle #2. Closed - C.

Disruptive Behavior - Studio Theater 02/29/08 08:00 PM
Police were called to ask an individual to leave the Theater as a result of words exchanged between himself and another individual. He did so without further incident. Referred to CSC.

A staff member reported that upon entering West Hall, she noticed that the rear outside exit door was not secured. Closed C.

Pedestrian Struck - Parking Lot #6 02/28/08 11:00 AM
An individual was walking across Lot 6 when she was struck in the left knee/foot area. The driver of Vehicle #1 got out to see if the pedestrian was injured. At the time, the pedestrian had no complaint of pain, but later on did seek medical attention at the nurse's office. Closed - C.

Disregard for Property - Edison Hall Circle 02/27/08 10:40 AM
An individual's vehicle was kicked by someone who apparently had been waiting to pull into a parking space. The victim was unaware of this person waiting and offered to pull out of the space and allow the suspect to pull in, but the suspect sped off after an exchange of words. Closed - C.

An individual reported that while she was attending a class at the above location, someone had stolen her purse and all of it's belongings. Open Case.

Broken Chair - Instructional Resource Center 02/26/08 05:44 AM
Police responded to a report of chairs being broken in IRC. Upon investigation, one broken chair was found at the scene and that appeared to have been broken at an earlier time. There were no suspects or witnesses. Open Case.

Empty Bottle - Technical Services Center 02/25/08 05:45 AM
A staff member reported finding an empty bottle in the trash can located by the snack machines. The bottle appears to have previously contained an alcoholic beverage. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Flag Pole Circle 02/21/08 10:10 AM
Vehicle #1 struck a metal pole while attemtping to make a left turn into the circle. The vehicle sustained minor damage, the pole was destroyed. Closed - C.

Medical - Edison Hall 02/20/08 07:45 PM
Police were notified that there was a student who apparently had fainted twice. Upon arrival, police found the patient to be pale and sweaty. Edison First Aid was called and transported the patient to a local hospital. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #1 02/20/08 10:45 AM
Vehicle #1 had backed out of a parking space and was about to come to a stop when it was struck by Vehicle #2 which was also backing out. There was no visible damage to either vehicle. Closed - C.

Theft - Johnson Learning Center 02/19/08 10:00 AM
A staff member reported that a sum of money had been taken out of the Student Activities Office sometime between Feb. 13th and Feb. 19th. Open Case.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #6 02/19/08 07:40 PM
As Vehicle #1 was backing out of a parking space, Vehicle #2 swung around the corner. Vehicle #1 was unable to stop and struck Vehicle #2 on the passenger side. Vehicle #2 sustained a cracked door frame. Closed - C.

Impound of Vehicle - Parking Lot #6 02/15/08 01:07 PM
Three individuals were observed removing both license plates from a vehicle in Parking Lot #6. One individual got into the vehicle and started to drive away. After conducting a motor vehicle stop for no plates on the car, it was determined that the driver purchased the car from someone on campus but had not registered the vehicle or obtained valid insurance before driving away. The car was impounded to be released when the driver obtained the proper documentation. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #4 02/15/08 12:25 PM
Vehicle #2, which was travelling eastbound, struck Vehicle #1 heading northbound, while attempting to make a left hand turn. Vehicle #1 was towed from the scene. Closed - C.

Medical - Main Hall/Parking Lot Entrance 02/15/08 10:15 AM
An individual slipped on ice when entering Main Hall and twisted her ankle as well as injuring the palm of her hand. The patient was treated at the scene. Closed - C.

Fire Alam - Main Hall 02/15/08 02:27 PM
An individual pulled a fire alarm in Main Hall believing it was an electronic handicap door opener. Edison Fire Department was called to the scene, the alarm was reset and all units cleared. Closed - C.

A staff member dropped a spray bottle of Lemon Fields II causing the bottle to spray into her eyes. She flushed her eyes out with water and refused further medical attention. Closed - C.

Disruptive Behavior - Library 02/13/08 08:02 PM
A student stated that he was offended in a class which he was taking and became disruptive when requesting a refund for the class from someone in the Library. Police were able to assist the individual and instructed him as to where he could apply for a refund. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - College Dr. East 02/12/08 02:05 PM
Vehicle #2 rear-ended Vehicle #1 while heading south on Mill Road when changing lanes. Vehicle #1 sustained bumper damage, Vehicle #2 had to be towed from the scene. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - College Drive East 02/12/08 03:04 PM
Vehicle #2 was traveling North on College Drive East and drove over the double yellow line striking Vehicle #1 which was traveling South on College Drive East. Both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - College Drive East 02/12/08 03:45 PM
Vehicle #1 was heading East on College Dr. East, Vehicle #2 was travelling west. Upon entering the curve of the road, Vehicle #2's back end slid out and collided with Vehicle #1's front end. Vehicle #1 struck the curb while trying to avoid a collision. Vehicle #1 was towed from the scene. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - College Drive East 02/12/08 03:00 PM
Vehicle #1 was heading southbound on College Dr. East. The driver drove in the opposite lane of traffic in order to go around an accident. The traffic had come to a stop, not allowing the vehicle back into the southbound lane. Vehicle #2 did not see that Vehicle #1 had stopped and attempted to break, but due to icy road conditions, slid and collided head on. No injuries were reported, both vehicles sustained minor damage. Vehicle #1 was traveling north on College Drive East and unable to negotiate the curve, crossing over the double yellow line, jumping the curb and running over a small tree. The front of Vehicle #1 sustained damage and the tree was destroyed. Closed - C.

Vehicle #1 was waiting in line to exit the parking lot when the driver of Vehicle #2 backed into him. Vehicle #1 sustained a small dent to the driver's side door and Vehicle #2 sustained scratches and paint damage to its rear passenger side bumper. Closed - C.

Driver of Vehicle #1 was traveling north on College Drive East. Vehicle #2 was pulling out of Lot #6A making a left turn causing Vehicle #1 to make contact with Vehicle #2's driver's side rear bumper. Closed - C.

Disturbed Person - College Center 02/08/08 05:30 PM
A disturbed individual was found lying on a couch in College Center. Police were able to identify the individual and subsequently contact a family member who confirmed that the person suffered from a mental illness. The individual was then transported to a local hospital. Closed - C.

Criminal Mischief - Parking Lot #1 02/07/08 01:50 PM
A vehicle parked in Lot #1 had its rear windshield broken into and the headrest on the back passenger seat ripped apart in an attempt to gain access to the trunk. A razor blade and a hollowed out aerosol hairspray can were found inside. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Open Case.

Discarded Employee Property - Johnson Learning Center 02/07/08 07:36 AM
A staff member reported that his personal items were discarded from the custodial closet and thrown in the trash. Another staff member reported that she had thrown out the items believing them to belong to a student. Closed - C.

A student used the computer lab in JLC between 10:00 am and noon. Later in the day, she realized that her wallet was missing from her purse. Closed - C.

Theft - College Center 02/06/08 01:10 PM
A student reported having left her wallet on a chair in the lounge area. When she returned to retrieve it, she found it on the floor with money and a credit card missing. A witness described the suspects to the victim. The victim questioned one of the suspects who was still in the area and the suspect denied having any involvement in the situation. She then notified police, but at this point in time, the suspect had left the scene. Open Case.

Theft - College Center 02/06/08 04:43 PM
A individual reported that she had her wallet in her back pocket at 1:00 pm and when she attempted to retrieve the wallet at 3:20 pm, it was no longer there. The victim did not notice anyone bump into her. Open Case.

Property Damage - Gate Arm Lot #3 02/05/08 04:10 AM
As the sanitation truck was entering Lot #3, the gate arm came down after the front end of the truck passed it, striking the truck and causing the arm to break off. Closed C.

Simple Assault - Blue Colt Drive 02/05/08 09:00 PM
An individual reportedly was slapped on the buttocks by two males as she was walking towards her car in parking Lot #1. Two other males noticed what was taking place and intervened. One male stopped and spoke with the suspects while the second male walked the victim to her car. The victim did not report the incident at the time it happened. This incident is currently under police investigation. Open Case.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #6 02/05/08 12:20 PM
Vehicle #2 backed up into Vehicle #1 which was waiting to pull into a parking space in Lot #6. Vehicle #1 sustained damage to the front driver's side mirror and door. Vehicle #2 sustained a broken driver's side tail light, minor dent above wheel well and paint damage. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - College Drive East and Woodbridge Ave. 02/05/08 08:45 PM
Vehicles #1, #2 and #3 were stopped at the red light awaiting to turn onto Woodbridge Avenue. The driver of Vehicle #1 stepped on the gas unexpectedly hard and rear-ended Vehicle #2, which in turn rear-ended Vehicle #3. Vehicle #1 had to be towed from the scene. Closed - C.

Theft - Parking Lot #1 02/05/08 09:31 AM
A student reported that sometime between 7:55 am and 9:23 am, someone had stolen her GPS system out of her vehicle. Subsequently, an investigation revealed that someone had forced their way through the front driver's side door of the vehicle. Open Case.

Lost Property - Main Hall 02/04/08 11:45 AM
An individual came into Headquarters to see if her purse had been turned in, as she had left it in Main Hall after class. The student returned to the classroom to retrieve the purse, but no one was there. Attempts to contact the professor were unsuccessful. A short time later, a staff member called Headquarters to report finding a pocketbook matching the description of the lost purse. The owner of the purse was contacted. Closed - C.

Brown Substance Found - Johnson Learning Center 02/04/08 03:30 PM
A brown sugary substance was found in the men's upstairs restroom, which is believed to be cinnamon. The suspect in the case stated that he uses the cinnamon for a skin condition. Closed - C.

Injured Person Assist - Mill Road 02/03/08 01:35 PM
After initiating a motor vehicle stop for speeding, an individual was found in the back of the vehicle with a severe laceration to his leg which he sustained while riding a motorcycle in Industrial Park. He was being transported to Woodbridge Ave. and Mill Road to await Edison First Aid. First responders arrived and transported the patient to a local hospital. Closed - C.

Possible Burglary - South II 02/01/08 08:55 PM
A staff member reported that the storage cabinet in Room 107 had been forced opened and sustained damage. The contents of the cabinet were unknown at the time of the report, therefore it was not possible to tell if something was missing. Closed - C.
