Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #6 04/30/09 01:50 PM
Upon returning to her car, an individual noticed paint damage to the rear bumper of her vehicle and a cracked tail light. A note was left on her car with the offending vehicle's information. That driver was contacted and stated he did not see any physical damage to the vehicle. His vehicle did not sustain damage. Closed - C.

Criminal Mischief - Parking Lot #7 04/30/09 05:15 PM
Sometime between the hours of 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm, an individual's vehicle was keyed. There were two scratch marks on the driver's side front bumper. There are no known witnesses or suspects at this time. Open Case.

Lost/Missing Property - Instructional Resource Center 04/30/09 11:27 AM
An individual reported that on 4/29/09 she lost her wallet which contained a debit card, a sum of money and various other items. She was advised to contact her bank to cancel the card and to advise this department should she find her wallet. Open Case.

Arrest - Parking Lot #5 04/29/09 08:15 PM
After assisting an individual who was locked out of her vehicle, a look-up revealed that she had an outstanding warrant and she was taken into custody. Closed - A.

An individual verbally threatened an employee regarding the suspect's non-compliance within a program. The individual was advised not to return to the program at this time. Open Case.

Motor Vehicle Accident - College Drive East 04/27/09 03:38 PM
Vehicle #1 was slowing down while preparing to make a right hand turn. Vehicle #2 was following too closely and struck Vehicle #1 from behind. Both vehicles sustained minimal damage; no injuries were reported. Closed - C.

Towed Vehicle - Parking Lot #2 04/27/09 12:27 PM
A Dodge pickup was towed from Parking Lot #2 after apparently being abandoned there since April 22, 2009. Within the vehicle, in plain sight, was a plastic bong which were retrieved and held for evidence. Closed - C.

Criminal Mischief - Parking Lot #1 04/27/09 02:06 PM
An individual reported that after parking his motorcycle on campus, he found several scratches on it, each on a different section of the bike. There are no known witnesses at this time. Open Case.

Suspicious Person - Parking Lot #2 04/27/09 10:20 PM
A vehicle was towed from Lot #2 after it was determined that the owner's license had been suspended and the vehicle was not registered nor insured. Closed - C.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #4 04/27/09 10:56 AM
The driver of Vehicle #2 struck Vehicle #1 after stopping at the stop sign, but not waiting until the intersection was clear. Both vehicles sustained damage. No injuries were reported. Closed - C.

An individual stated that an ex-boyfriend made threatening remarks to her while she was on campus. She was advised to contact College Police with any further information. Open Case.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #1B 04/20/09 12:32 PM
A vehicle drove into a chain pulling the metal stake out of the ground which struck another vehicle but did not cause damage to the second vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene. Closed - C.

Theft - College Center - HRI 04/20/09 01:38 PM
A backpack had been rifled through after it was reported stolen and then recovered. Missing from the backpack wa a T1 graphing calculator. There are no known suspects at this time. Open Case.

Lost/Missing Property - College Center - PAC 04/20/09 04:00 PM
An individual reported that while he was on campus, he lost several money orders. He was advised that he would be contacted if they were turned in. Open Case.

Miscellaneous Assist - Outside Library 04/16/09 02:51 PM
A trash container outside of the Library was smoking, but there were no visible flames. Water was used to soak the container and eliminate smoldering trash. Closed - C.

Medical - Media Arts Center 04/15/09 04:00 PM
An individual cut her finger with an Exacto knife. The wound was cleansed and a dressing applied. The patient refused further medical attention. Closed - C.

A significant amount of toilet paper was strewn around the men's restroom located on the lower level of IRC. Additionally, a roll was also thrown in the toilet. Open Case.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #11 04/14/09 08:42 PM
The driver of Vehicle #2 was backing up when she struck Vehicle #1 which was parked. Vehicle #1 sustained damage to the driver's side rear bumper. Vehicle #2 sustained no visible damage. No injuries were reported. Closed - C.

An individual reported that she lost her student identification card in the vicinity of Chambers Hall. Attempts to find the card have not been successful. Open Case.

An officer assisted with the removal of a deer whom he witnessed laying on the side of the roadway of College Drive East. Closed - C.

Vehicle #1 rolled out of its parking spot and hit Vehicle #2. Neither car was occupied at the time. Both vehicles sustained bumper damage. Closed - C.

An officer assisted the Middlesex County Park Rangers and Edison Animal Control in the removal of a deer from the fence line of Thomas Edison Park. Closed - C.

An individual fainted and was very weak. EMS was called and the patient was transported to a local hospital. Closed - C.

Theft - Library - Acquisition and Processing Room 04/07/09 03:35 PM
A staff member reported that four books were taken from the office which had a secured door sometime over the weekend of April 4th and 5th. Additionally, one text book was stolen from the same office between Jan. 30, 2009 and March 24, 2009. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Open Case.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #4 04/06/09 01:22 PM
Vehicle #1, which was stopped, was struck by Vehicle #2 which was backing out of a parking space. Vehicle #1 sustained damage to the rear panel on the driver's side. Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the bumper on the driver's side. No injuries were reported. Closed - C.

Suspicious Activity - Raritan Hall 04/06/09 08:00 AM
While investigating another incident, a staff member reported to police suspicious activity by a student that has occurred over the past few weeks. After completing their investigation, the officer referred the matter for CSC.

Theft - College Center Room 126 04/06/09 11:48 AM
An individual placed her purse inside an unlocked locker. When she returned several hours later, the wallet was missing from the purse. The wallet contained a sum of money, credit and debit cards, and various personal items. Open Case.

Criminal Mischief - Raritan Hall and Main Hall 04/02/09 12:30 AM
A staff member found a large burn spot on a chair located in the front lobby area of Main Hall. Additionally, similar damage was also found on floor carpeting in Raritan Hall Room 209. This case is currently being investigated. Open Case.

Theft - Library 04/01/09 12:45 PM
An individual working in the computer area discovered that someone had taken her cell phone while she retrieved her work from the print area. There are no known witnesses or suspects at this time. Open Case.

Theft - Johnson Learning Center Photo Lab 04/01/09 01:40 PM
After leaving her bag down unattended for a short period of time, an individual returned to find that her wallet had been opened and a sum of cash was missing from it. There are no known suspects or witnesses at this time. Open Case.

Fire Alarm - Technical Services Center 04/01/09 07:05 PM
After responding to an alarm activation, Technical Services Center was evacuated. There was no odor of smoke. The Fire Department arrived and deemed it to be a false alarm. The building was reopened and alarm reset. Closed - C.

Arson - Raritan Hall 04/01/09 02:17 PM
After receiving a report of possible arson, police found burnt paper and ashes in a trash container in Room 225. Additionally, ashes were also found in the men's bathroom located just down the hall from Room 225. This case is currently under investigation. Open Case.
