Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #4 10/29/10 12:37 PM
Vehicle #1 was traveling straight through Lot #4 when it was struck by Vehicle #2 which was attempting a left hand turn. Vehicle #1 sustained a dent on the driver's side front quarter panel and scratches on the door. Vehicle #2 sustained significant damage to the passenger's side front bumper and tire well. Burglary/Theft - Parking Lot #1 10/28/10 01:49 PM
An individual parked his vehicle in Lot #1 at approximately 8:10 am. Upon return to the vehicle at 12:40 pm, he noticed that the laptop and carrying case which were on the backseat were missing. There are no known witnesses or suspects at this time. Open Case.

Disruptive Behavior - Technical Services Center 10/27/10 10:23 AM
Police received a call regarding an individual being disruptive in the building. Upon their arrival, the officers found the suspect who exhibited signs of being in an altered state of mind. The individual was subsequently transported to a local hospital. Further investigation revealed that the suspect reportedly made threats to other students and staff members in the area. Referred CSC.

An individual has inquired as to what steps would be taken should she wish to make a formal complaint regarding treatment and care of her child at the Childcare Center. She was advised as to the proper steps to take. No complaint has been filed as of this time. Open Case.

An individual was found to be in possession of 50 grams or less of marijuana. The suspect was placed under arrest and issued a defiant trepass as the suspect was not a student at the college. Closed - A.

Medical - Physical Education Center 10/26/10 07:57 AM
An individual experienced a seizure while in the P.E. Center. EMS was called to the scene, but the patient declined further medical treatment and was transported off campus privately. Closed - C.

An individual was experiencing the beginnings of a seizure. EMS was called and the patient was transported to a local hospital. Closed - C.

Burglary/Theft - Parking Lot #4 10/22/10 03:07 PM
An individual parked his car in Lot #4 at approximately 8:00 a.m. Upon his return to the vehicle at 3:07 pm, the victim found that the vehicle had been broken into and the seats removed. There are currently no known witnesses or suspects. Open Case.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #6 10/22/10 12:39 PM
Vehicle #1 was backing out of a parking spot and struck Vehicle #2 which was waiting to go into the parking spot. Vehicle #1 sustained a scratch on the rear driver's side bumper and pushed out corner panel. Vehicle #2 sustained scratches to the passenger side rear bumper. Closed - C.

Prank Phone Call - Off Campus 10/22/10 01:47 AM
An individual received a call from a restricted number to her cell phone at 1:47 am. The caller was making sexual comments, one of which related to a fellow classmate. The victim was advised that should this happen again to end the call immediately and notify the appropriate authorities. Open Case.

Fire Alarm - L'Hommedieu Hall 10/22/10 09:07 AM
A smoke detector alarm activated causing the evacuation of the building. The activation occurred due to smoke and dust created by a gas powered circular saw in use. Closed - C.

Vandalism - Physical Education Center 10/21/10 06:53 PM
A staff member reported the toilet paper dispenser torn off the wall inside Room A100. A second dispenser had been tampered with the previous day. Open Case.

Disruptive Behavior - Main Hall/Parking Lot #5 10/21/10 12:20 PM
While in the course of duty, an officer was approached by an individual who became excessively disruptive. The individual was advised to leave campus and was warned that he would receive a defiant trespass notice should he return. Closed - C.

Theft - Main Hall 10/21/10 02:24 PM
An individual placed his cell phone under his backpack while handing a paper to his professor. Upon returning to the desk he noticed his cell phone was missing. There are no known suspects or witnesses. Open Case.

Fire Alarm - Technical Services Center 10/21/10 08:00 AM
Police responded to a fire alarm in TSC. Upon arrival they were informed that an individual had accidentally bumped into the pull station and somehow had activated the alarm. Edison Fire arrived, reset the alarm and deemed the building safe for occupancy. Closed - C.

While exiting a parking spot, Vehicle #2 struck unoccupied Vehicle #1 causing the bumper to come apart on the driver's side. Closed - C.

After leaving textbooks in a secured locker overnight, the victim returned to find that the books were no longer there. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Open Case.

An individual reported having accidentally sprayed pepper spray on her hand bag. The patient then touched her face and began to feel a burning sensation. She rinsed the area and then was given an ice pack. The patient refused further medical attention. Closed - C.

A fire alarm activated in the Studio Theater due to the use of theatrical smoke causing an evacuation of the building. Closed - C.

Hit and Run - Parking Lot #2 10/19/10 10:22 AM
Vehicle #1 was parked and unoccupied in Parking Lot #2. The vehicle sustained significant damage to the driver's side including both side and rear windows being completely shattered. Both front and rear driver's side doors were scratched. Open Case.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #4 10/18/10 10:56 AM
Vehicle #2 backed up into Vehicle #1 which was parking causing scratches/dents to the rear driver's side panel. Vehicle #2 sustained a broken side tailight and scratches/dents. Closed - C.

Possible Harassment - Technical Services Center 10/15/10 06:30 PM
An individual reported that there are several disruptive individuals in her class. Additionally, two females stated that they felt possibly harassed by this group. The complainant did not wish to provide the identities of the aforementioned. She was clearly advised of her options and in turn she was going to advise the two females of their options. Open Case.

Harassment - West Hall 10/15/10 10:00 AM
An individual reportedly was being harassed by three other individuals. Subsequent to conducting an investigation, all parties involved were advised to not have any contact with each other or they could possibly face criminal charges. Follow up contact was made with the victim who stated that there has not been any additional issues or contact with the parties involved since. Open Case.

Upon returning to her vehicle, the driver found trash under her windshield wipers, damage to the side view mirror, scratches on the vehicle and a substance poured over it. The victim received a phone call from an ex-boyfriend who claimed responsibility for the damage. The victim did not wish to sign complaints against the suspect. Closed - C.

Fire Alarm - Library 10/14/10 06:05 PM
A smoke detector activated and set off the fire alarm in the Library. The building was evacuated. Smoke was detected coming from the area of the Mechanical Room door. After Edison Fire cleared the scene, an electrician was called to resolve the matter. Closed - C.

Theft - Parking Lot #11 10/13/10 05:02 PM
An individual reported that he noticed a faded, dark green car resembling a Honda parked directly behnind his car which was a green VW GTI. The driver was putting something in his trunk which resembled an air vent. Upon approaching his own vehicle, the victim immediately noticed the air vent missing. The victim was unable to offer a description of the person nor the license plate number of the suspect vehicle. Open Case.

Lost/Missing Property - Physical Education Center 10/13/10 12:20 PM
An individual reported that on 10/12/2010 upon returning to the men's locker room, found that his backpack was no longer where he left it. The contents of the bag included a cell phone, charger, MP3 player and other various items. Closed - C.

Vehicle #1 was pulling away from the curb when it struck Vehicle #2 which was passing Vehicle #1. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Closed - C.

A staff member reported finding a chain and lock broken off of a fenced/gated area where a phone line wire was frayed and inoperable. Open Case.

Alcohol - Parking Lot #2 10/12/10 05:40 PM
While patrolling Lot #2, an officer came upon several beer bottles lined up in a parking space. There were no witnesses or suspects found at the scene. Open Case.

An individual become unresponsive during class. When the patient came to, she complained of being lightheaded. EMS was called to the scene, but the patient refused further medical treatment and was transported off campus privately. Closed - C.

Suspicious Activity - Edison Campus 10/08/10 12:50 PM
An individual was dropped off at school by a friend. Being the owner of the vehicle, he gave permission to the driver to take his car while he attended class. The friend failed to return on time to pick up the owner. The owner waited an extended period of time before contacting police. He did not wish to file a report at this time, but was advised of the process for filing if he wished to do so. Closed - C.

Theft - Parking Lot #4 10/07/10 04:20 PM
On October 7th at approximately 4:20 pm, an individual reported that the spoiler on her vehicle appeared to have been ripped off. The victim reported parking her vehicle in Lot #4 at approximately 10:55 am and when she retuerned at 3:45 pm, the spoiler was no longer attached to the vehicle. There are no known witnesses or suspects. Open Case.

Harassment Complaint - Main Hall 10/07/10 11:11 AM
An individual reported that on 10/5/10, he was confronted by a male in Main Hall after class. The victim was told by this individual to stay away from his girlfriend with whom the victim was sharing a text book. No further communication or physical contact was made between the two. The victim requested a report be filed. Closed - C.

Vehicle #1 was stopped while attempting to exit Lot #6 when it was struck by Vehicle #2 traveling through the lot. Vehicle #1 sustained a dent to the back bumper and Vehicle #2 sustained scratches to the passenger side front bumper. Closed - C.

An individual was parked in Lot #2 and appeared to be startled by the arrival of a patrol car in the vicinity. It was determined that the individual was dropping a friend off at his car which had been parked there earlier in the day. The suspicious person left without further incident. Closed - C.

An individual reported to police that on 10/5/10 at approximately 9:15 am while she was walking to the College Center, two individuals began to verbally harass her. They were threatening and continuously shouting at her even though she requested them to stop. The matter was turned over to the Counseling Department in order to assist in resolving the situation. Vehicle #1 was traveling east on College Drive East when it was struck on the driver's side rear door by Vehicle #2 which was exiting Lot #6 attempting to turn east on College Drive East. Both vehicles sustained damage. Closed - C.

An individual reported that upon returning to his vehicle he found a note on his windshield stating that he had rammed another vehicle. MCCPD examined this individual's vehicle and found no signs of any visible damage. Closed - C.
