Lost/Missing Property - Off Campus 07/31/13 08:13 AM
An employee reported that while off campus she left her work keys in her coat which was then mistakenly taken by another individual. Should the keys be returned to the owner, MCCPD will be notified. #I-0214-13.

Theft - Physical Education Center 07/25/13 01:21 PM
An individual reported that she left her purse on a desk located inside the Physical Education Center at approx. 11:00 am. Upon her return at 1:00 pm, she noticed that her purse was gone. Contents of the purse included Nike sneakers, Versace glasses, Ray Bans, Nike shorts, a credit card and a sum of cash. #13-089 - Open.

Criminal Mischief - Library 07/25/13 04:30 AM
A staff member reported finding graffiti in the men's restroom on the lower level of the Library. This incident occurred between 12:00 pm on 7/24/13 and 4:30 am on 7/25/13. There are no known suspects or witnesses. #13-088 - Closed B.

Pedestrian Stop - Parking Lot #1 07/24/13 11:30 AM
Two male individuals were observed looking into the interior of parked vehicles in Lot #1. The men were approached and asked to provide identification; neither were students or MCC staff members. Both stated they were enroute to the bus stop which they had already passed by and then one of the two stated he was going to the Libary. On 7/25/13, one of the individuals came to Headquarters to inquire as to why he was being harassed; the reason for the stop was explained. #I-207-13.

Medical - Main Hall 07/23/13 11:50 AM
An individual tripped over a wire and fell backwards striking his head. The patient was alert and conscious and declined further medical attention. #I0206-13.

Verbal Dispute - Parking Lot #3 07/22/13 10:40 AM
A report came in regarding two individuals apparently having a dispute. It appeared the male suspect was attempting to pull a female into a truck. Upon investigation, it was determined that the male and female were involved in a verbal dispute. Neither party wished to file charges. #I-205-13.

Arrest - IRC Parking Lot 07/17/13 12:13 PM
A call was received stating that a dog was left inside a locked vehicle with the outside temperature reaching 99 degrees. The dog was removed from the vehicle, taken into air conditioning and given water. The owner of the vehicle was taken into custody after it was determined that she had an outstanding warrant. Closed A.

Damaged Property - College Center/PAC 07/16/13 05:07 PM
A glass door in College Center 15 was shattered by a metal tip from a hose which was being used by a kitchen hood cleaning company. #I-0204-13.

Motor Vehicle Accident - College Drive East 07/16/13 12:15 PM
Vehicle #1 was heading east on College Dr. East. Vehicle #2 was making a left from Lot #5 to head east. Vehicle #2 struck Vehicle #1 causing a right angle accident. Vehicle #1 sustained damage to the front driver's side bumper and fender. Vehicle #2 sustained damage to the front fender. No injuries were reported. #13-084 Closed C.

Simple Assault - Perth Amboy Center 07/16/13 12:50 PM
An individual claimed that she was assaulted after becoming involved in a verbal dispute over the use of the computer lab. Said individual was asked to leave as she was not currently enrolled in classes and she refused to do so. The director was called to the scene and attempted to remove the computer mouse from the table, inadvertently touching the individual's hand. A defiant trespass was issued to the individual and she was advised of procedures for filing a complaint should she desire to do so. #13-085 - Closed A.

Motor Vehicle Accident - Lot #12 07/16/13 04:30 PM
An individual reported that upon returning to her parked vehicle in Lot #12, she noticed damage to the front right side bumper. There was no other vehicle in the parking lot which had damage matching her vehicle. #13-086 Closed B.

Concerned Individual - Edison Hall 07/11/13 03:35 PM
A staff member stated that she left her purse in a closet and when she returned to retrieve it, the purse was open with her wallet on top. Nothing was taken out of the wallet. #I-0203-13.

Fire Alarm Activation - Studio Theater 07/11/13 06:46 AM
A fire alarm was activated due as a result of a short in the track lighting system on the second floor of Studio Theater. The Fire Department was on scene and the appropriate personnel were notified. #I-0202-13.

Harassment - Edison Park 07/10/13 12:14 PM
An individual reported that on several occasions while at the track in Edison Park, an individual has approached him asking for sexual favors. The suspect is described as a short white male with blue eyes and short blond hair, pointy nose, masculine build, wearing business casual clothing and drives a four door silver Honda Accord. The individual was advised to notify police should this occur again. #13-083 Open.

Concerned Individual - Edison Campus 07/08/13 10:30 AM
An individual reported that she saw a threatening post on someone's facebook page though she did not know who the page actually belonged to. The individual did not feel threatened herself and believed the statement made was one of a general nature. #I-0200-13.

A staff member reported finding graffiti in the upper level restroom of the Johnson Learning Center. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. #13-082 Open.

Medical - Edison Campus 07/02/13 06:30 PM
An individual twisted her ankle between the grass and the sidewalk. An ice pack was applied and the patient transported to her vehicle. The patient declined further treatment including EMS. #I-0199-13.

Theft - On Line Scam 07/02/13 08:00 PM
Email scammers targeted students with offers to join the Honor Society or receive scholarships. The emails were marketed directly to students by placing MCC or the college name in the email to make them look legitimate. By clicking on the link, the victims were directed to websites that appeared legitimate but were not; a $50 membership fee was required to sign up. A number of students were affected by this scam. #13-080 Open.

Medical - West Hall 07/01/13 10:06 AM
An individual slipped and fell on stairs outside of West Hall resulting in a minor abrasion to the elbow. The patient was treated at the scene. #I-0198-13.
