 The Swan

by: Elizabeth Egloff

Directed by: Anna Sycamore DeMers

Dora Hand lives by herself in a suburb on the Nebraska Prairie.  She's gone through three husbands and now seems destined to play the lonely mistress to her married milkman, Kevin --- until a swan crashes into her living room window setting Dora on a harrowing journey.  Feirce in its poetic treatment of love, The Swan provides a mysterious gloss on whether or not we descended from the beasts .... and what we may feel when we find them lurking in our truest selves.

Fiddler On the Roof

Music by: Jerry Bock, Lyrics by: Sheldon Harnick, Book by:Josephy Stein

Directed by: Peter Lowey

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters.  With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to portect his daughters and instill them with tradional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.  Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler On the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality, and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.
