New A.A.S. Degree in Surveying
A new degree program in Surveying Engineering Technology is being offered at Middlesex County College. The program, which was originally an option in the civil engineering program, was expanded because of the demand for land surveyors and their importance to the construction industry.
MCC Dance Ensemble to Perform April 15 & 16
The College Dance Ensemble will present its 10th Anniversary Spring Dance Concert entitled "Celebration" on Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16. The concerts will be held in the Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. and are free.
Alumni Association's Third Food Tasting
Restaurants from all over the area will be offering samples of their best dishes at the MCC Alumni Association food tasting on Wednesday, April 27. The event, which will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m., is a fundraiser for the association's scholarship fund.
Student Takes 1st Place at Radiography Contest
Christopher Quilban, a student in the Radiography program, recently won first place in a competition at the New Jersey Society of Radiologic Technologists Annual Meeting. He was awarded first place in the Emma Wolf Memorial X-ray Competition and won $300.
Middle States Brief
It has been nearly three years since we began to discuss MCC's application for reaccreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Since so much has happened on campus since the submission of the 2006 Periodic Review Report, it was obvious that the Self-Study, the heart of the application process, would be a major undertaking.
