On My Mind: A Bridge to Success
Every fall, many of the county's newly graduated seniors choose to begin their college journey at MCC. This year, many of these students will have chosen to jumpstart their college education by participating in the 2009 High School Summer Bridge (HSSB) program.

Democracy House, an organization of students at Middlesex County College that performs thousands of hours of community service each year, was named to the 2008 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction. The award was presented by the Corporation for National and Community Service at the American Council on Education's annual meeting in Washington, D.C. on February 9.

Dietetic Technology Program Awarded Accreditation
The Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) recently announced the accreditation of the College's Dietetic Technology Program, which was awarded the highest level of accreditation. Helping Kids Keep a Great Smile
Helping Kids Keep a Great Smile "Give Kids a Smile Day," an annual event at Middlesex County College, provides free dental care and dental education to area children. Local dentists, hygienists and dental auxiliary students volunteered their time and talents in February. They treated 82 children who received an exam, a cleaning, fluoride treatments, x-rays, sealants, as well as education on how to brush and floss. Those who needed it had cavities filled and extractions performed. The College was one of 1685 locations throughout the United States – nationally almost half a million kids were treated. Here, dental hygienist Jenna DeSimone (MCC class of 2007) treats a youngster during the program.
