“Pink Day” Basketball Game to Combat Breast Cancer
Please join the College basketball teams Tuesday, February 8 as they raise awareness and funds to combat breast cancer. The teams will be playing Ocean County College; the women’s team plays at 5 p.m. and the men’s team at 7 p.m. in the Physical Education Center. The squads will wear pink warmup t-shirts and wristbands. Members of the women’s team and the softball squad will hold a bake sale and collect donations for the American Cancer Society, and the t-shirts will be raffled off. The program is part of “Pink Zone,” a national effort to raise awareness and funds, organized by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. Before the women’s game, Karen Hays, vice president of academic and student affairs, and Susan Perkins, vice president of administration and finance, will officiate at a ceremonial tipoff. Come out and cheer the teams on!
