Packing Up Her Jersey to Send to the Hall of Fame

The basketball jersey of Quorea Pearyer, a Middlesex County College freshman guard, will hang for the next year in the Ring of Honor at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee. In his letter requesting the jersey, Josh Sullivan, director of basketball operations and technology for the Hall, said the honor is because of her outstanding play during the 2013-2014 season.

"Not only does the Ring of Honor provide a colorful backdrop to the Hall of Fame's many archives, but it is also our way of recognizing some young basketball players for their achievements in the sport," he wrote. "Without a doubt, Quorea Pearyer is definitely a part of an elite group, and a part of history now too!"

Last month, she was named second team All-America by the National Junior College Athletic Association for Division III. She averaged 24 points per game, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.5 steals. The Colts finished the season at 19-9.
