Professional Development programs for teachers, counselors, and administrators:

a. Dyslexia Workshop – A workshop designed to help K-12 teachers better understand the effects of dyslexia and learn strategies for how to be better teachers for students with dyslexia. Speakers - Ms. Ann Marie Harshaw & Ms. Susan Morris from The Bridge Academy in Lawrenceville, NJ.

b. CANCELED Flipping Classrooms – A workshop presented by Jamie Hall: This one-day seminar will show you exactly how to FLIP your classroom to increase learning, motivation and achievement! From completely flipped classrooms to blended learning, find the best tools and the best techniques to make this happen. (Nov. 2014 Workshop – Canceled)

c. Creative Classroom – SAVE THE DATE: March 19, 2015 – Using an iPad in the K-12 Classroom - presented by K-12 educator and technology coach, Jaime Hall. 

d. Autism Awareness Workshop – SAVE THE DATE: April 16, 2015 – Presented by Dr. Judy Flax of the Department of Genetics at Rutgers University. 

e. Teach Like a Pirate – SAVE THE DATE: April 22, 2015

f. AP Summer Institutes – Offered in partnership with the Middle States Regional Office of the College Board. Subjects focused on math and sciences to include Biology, Chemistry, Calculus AB/BC, Statistics, Physics, Environmental Science, US History, and Studio Art. Institutes are held on the Edison campus from 8:15am-4:30pm. 2015 dates: August 3-6, 2015. Registration begins in Spring 2015.

g. Customized Workshops – For local districts or other educational institutions. Examples: lab safety, math topics for special education and inclusion teachers, autism awareness workshop, dyslexia workshop
