  • Disability Services

Veterans in need of disability services should contact the Counselor for Students with Disabilities.  Services and accommodations are provided in keeping with the regulations and spirit of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act.  A variety of services may be provided including adapted testing services, note taker support, sign language interpreters, adaptive technology, liaison with faculty regarding classroom accommodations, books on tape, and other accommodations based on a student's needs and supported by documentation. At the college level it is the student's responsibility to self-identify and request services.

  • Personal Counseling

Transition to civilian life can lead to various challenges, including academic, social, physical, financial, emotional, and relational.  While many veterans will make a successful return to civilian life, research indicates that as many as 1 in 3 returning veterans may experience serious psychological distress.  Whether you have returned from serving abroad or are preparing to be deployed, counselors are available in the Department of Counseling and Career Services to help ease the transition.  Services are confidential and no record of counseling appears on the student's permanent academic record.

  • Career Services

Career Services assists students in preparing for and obtaining employment (including cooperative education internships) and provide resource information regarding careers, employment projections and area employers.
