Coach Mooney was selected to be the MCC Head Baseball Coach prior to the start of the 2014 Baseball Season. He was a two year starter and letter-winner at Middlesex County College in 2009-2010. In 2010, he was named to the NJCAA First Team Academic All-American Team. After his playing days at MCC were over, Coach Mooney transferred to Rutgers Camden. In his first season with the Scarlet Raptors, he became an All-American when he was named to the 2011 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Gold Glove Team. Coach Mooney earned the honor as the best defensive first baseman in the country. In 2012, he was named to the Capital One Academic All American Division III Baseball Third Team. He graduated from Rutgers-Camden with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology.

Assistant Coach: Nick Arena

Coach Arena was a 2 year starter at Middlesex County College where he received All-Region awards in his second year of playing. After Middlesex, he pursued his baseball career at NCAA Salem International University. After playing 2 years for the Tigers, Coach Arena was a Student Assistant Coach for SIU. Coach Arena graduated college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education.
